
Judith Lyon
Mrs. Lyon has been associated with the Palmer Home since 1970. In 1987 she was appointed to the presidency of the board of directors, the position she holds to this day. Mrs. Lyon is a graduate of Michigan State University and was born and raised in Park Ridge, IL. She moved to Findlay with her family in 1963.
Mr. Moss
Mr. Moss experiences with the Palmer Home began in 1979 with the retirement of President Jim Redick. He recalls that before Mr. Redick’s administration, the position was held by Mr. Grover Miller. Mr. Moss has seen the changes and growth of the Palmer Home over the years and became directly involved when he joined as a board member in 1988. He previously worked for First National Bank, now Fifth Third.
Margaret Slough
Mrs. Slough, a University of Michigan graduate, was born and has resided in Findlay most of her life. She became a Palmer Home board member in 1988. She has been in charge of visiting and screening prospective residents for several years. “Over the years I have come to know some of the ladies, individually, and they have touched my life.” She continued, “The Palmer Home is a very special facility, and each of the ladies is treated with love and dignity during the years that she is with us.”
Jo Lynn Daugherty
Ms. Daugherty is the newest member of the board. She was appointed in April 2005. Although her appointment is new, she has been affiliated with the Judson Palmer Home for over 14 years. She started working for the Judson Palmer Home in 1991 as a bookeeper. She is a life-long resident of Findlay and is currently employed as a real estate agent for ReMax Realty/Findlay.
William F. Bates
Mr. Bates, a University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University graduate, is a partner in the law firm of Watkins, Bates, & Carey. He has been a member of the board for over 25 years. Mr. Bates’ professional achievements are numerous as has been his community involvements in Northwest Ohio. An active member of several foundations boards, he is sought after by the general public and selected groups for his lecturing experience on probate and trust law issues, health care issues, and estate planning. |
